Ladyjacks Win Third Straight

The DCB volleyball team rolled to their third straight win Friday night defeating ACC for the second time in less then a week. The Ladyjacks took down the Cougars 3-0

The first set was very back and forth, just past the midway point of the set the score was tied at 14-14. A 3-0 DCB run gave them a 17-14 lead and forced an ACC timeout. Out of the timeout the Ladyjacks continued their run making it 8-0 and giving them a 22-14 lead. DCB finished the set on an 11-1 run to win 25-15.

Set two saw the Ladyjacks grab the early lead, however they never managed to gain more than a four-point advantage early on. A 5-0 run gave DCB their largest lead of the set at that point at 15-8 and forced the Cougars to take a timeout. Out of the timeout ACC was able to rally and cut the lead to two at 17-15. The Ladyjacks would regain control late in the set and hold on two win 25-22.

DCB came out of the gates quick in set three with an early 8-3 lead. As the set neared the midway point ACC was able to tie the game at 11-11. A 6-2 DCB lead would give them a 17-13 lead and force an ACC timeout.  Out of the timeout DCB kept the momentum rolling stretching their lead to seven at 21-14.  The Cougars didn't go away however scoring three quick points and cutting the deficit to four at 21-17. The Ladyjacks rebounded though finshing the set on a 4-1 run to win the set and the match 25-18.

With the win DCB improves to 7-4 overall. The Ladyjacks continue their home stand with a pair of Mon-Dak games hosting #20 NDSCS on Tuesday and Lake Region State College on Wednesday. Both games are set for 7:00p.m.
