Slow Start Plagues Ladyjacks vs Tetons

The DCB Ladyjacks Volleyball Team fell in straight sets Monday night at Williston State College.

Set one saw both teams battle for control with neither team pulling away. WSC would eventually gain a four-point lead at 17-13. DCB would cut the lead to 21-19 but the Tetons responded finishing the set on a 4-1 run to win 25-20.

Set two was another fight for momentum. This time it was the Ladyjacks getting control first taking a 10-6 lead. As the set progressed the Tetons would go on a 7-0 run to take a 15-12 lead forcing a DCB timeout. The Ladyjacks would but an end to the run out of timeout on a Koylynn Gulliford kill.  It would not be enough to slow down WSC though as they would answer back with three straight points. The Tetons took full control of the set and went on to win 25-18.

The Ladyjacks came out firing in set three taking an early 10-4 lead. WSC answered with a 10-3 run to take a 14-13 lead. The Tetons took all momentum by proceeding to go on an 7-2 run to take a 21-15 lead. The Ladyjacks would make a late serge but fell short losing the third set and the match 25-21.

With the loss DCB falls to 4-3 overall and 3-3 in the Mon-Dak. With the win Williston State College improves to 3-14 overall and 2-4 in the Mon-Dak. The Ladyjacks return to "The Woodshed" tomorrow night to take on #15 Bismarck State, game time is set for 7:00p.m.
