Lumberjack and Ladyjack Basketball opens up conference play on Thursday, January 11th with games at Bismarck State College.

The Ladyjacks have started the season with a 5-10 record, suffering some serious injuries.  They will be without Victoria Obergfell and Erynn Buhr for the rest of the season, each out with knee injuries.  Several other players have missed time as well.  Sophomore Madison Erickson rejoined the team from injury just before Fall Break.  She leads the team in scoring, averaging 15.2 points per game, followed closely by Dior Dioum and Ellie Messmer, each averaging 11.7 per contest.  Erickson and Messmer also rank 1-2 in rebounds at 9.3 and 9.1 rpg respectively.  The Ladyjacks will face a BSC squad which is currently 8-7 on the year and coming off a close loss on Monday to Lake Region.

The Lumberjacks are currently 15-1 on the season, suffering their first loss this past Friday in Thief River Falls, MN to a talented Northland team.  They have had a great start to the 2017-18 season, climbing to 10th in the NJCAA Division II national poll until losing to the Pioneers.  FR Tyrie Johnson joined the team for second semester and has had a quick start, averaging 28 ppg in his first two games with the Jacks.  For the season, FR Jibril Wyckoff leads the current team in scoring at 17.8 ppg.  DCB will face a Bismarck State team that, although only 7-9 on the year, defeated a talented Lake Region team on Monday.

Game times on Thursday are 5:30 for the Women and 7:30 for the men and the games will be played at the BSC Armory on their campus.

The games will be livestreamed, you can watch them at this link.
