Despite a 41-point effort from Brendan Redhead the Lumberjack men's basketball team was unable to overcome the UTTC Thunderbirds falling 94-86.

In the early going the Lumberjacks and the Thunderbirds traded baskets and the lead back and forth. At the first media timeout UTTC held a 13-12 lead. Out of the media timeout the Jacks were able to take control and build a six-point lead at 24-18. The Thunderbirds responded with a 12-0 run to take a 30-24 lead. The Thunderbird would carry the momentum of that run to hold a 41-36 lead over the Jacks.

A 15-4 run from the Thunderbirds would see the Jacks trailing 56-40 three minutes into the second half. DCB attempted to work their way back into the game cutting the UTTC lead to six at 65-59 just past the halfway point of the second half. Six points would be as close as DCB would get. The Thunderbirds worked the lead back up to double-figures. In the closing minutes DCB attempted a late run but only got as close as seven points before eventually falling 94-86.

Brendan Redhead led all scorers and one other Lumberjack in double-figures with 41 points, he added 10 rebounds for a double-double. Max Groom joined him in double figures with 21 points. Cayden Redfield led the Thunderbirds with 28 points.

With the loss DCB falls to 14-8 overall and 6-7 in the Mon-Dak. Next up for the Lumberjack they take on NDSCS who received votes in the latest NJCAA Poll. Gametime is set for 7:30p.m.
