Wildcats 3-Ball Sink Jacks

The NDSCS Wildcats spoiled the Lumberjacks home opener with a 109-71 victory over DCB. The Wildcats hit 19 3-pointers and shot 53% from beyond the arc.

The Jacks hung right with the Wildcats for most of the first half. DCB went on a quick run to cut a seven-point Wildcat lead to one at 34-33. Out of a NDSCS timeout the Wildcats responded with a 10-0 run over their own. This led to the Wildcats holding a 51-37 halftime lead. NDSCS really got things going in the second half knocking down 10 3's ad shot 59% from beyond the arc in the second half. 26 turnovers also hampered the Jacks allowing the Wildcat lead to grow. In the end the Wildcats would go on to win 109-71.

Micah Swallow led six Wildcats in double figures and all scorers with 24 points. Max Groom led the Jacks off the bench with 16 points. He was joined in double figures by Brendan Redhead with 15 points, and Connor Trahan added 13. With the loss the Jacks fall to 2-3 overall and 2-2 in the Mon-Dak. DCB back in action tomorrow hosting the University of Jamestown JV. Game time set for 7:30p.m.
