DCB Baseball players Nick Sumstine and Victor Terrero were recently named to the 2017 all Mon-Dak baseball team.
Nick Sumstine is in his first year as a Lumberjack. He is a graduate of Camas High School in Washington State. Nick played Pitcher and Shortstop for DCB, finishing with a batting average of .339, .415 in Mon-Dak games. He also finished 5-5 as a pitcher, accounting for almost half of the total victories the Lumberjacks enjoyed this season.
Victor Terrero is a freshman from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He finished 2017 with a .396 batting average, 6 home runs, and 26 RBI for the Lumberjacks. He was named Mon-Dak player of the week during the season as well.
The Lumberjacks finished 2017 with an 11-24 record, which is 1 win short of the team's total for the previous 3 years combined. With many of the team back, the future looks bright for DCB baseball.
