DCB sophomore P/SS Nick Sumstine was named player of the Week for April 24-30 in the Mon-Dak Conference.  Nick was 7-13 (.538) at the plate during this time.  His stats also included 2 doubles, 5 runs scored, 3 stolen bases, 2 RBI's, and 4 walks.  Nick also went 2-0 as a pitcher as he pitched 9 innings, allowing no earned runs, had 13 strikeouts, and allowed one base on balls.  Nick is from Vancouver, Washington and he attended Camas High School.

Baseball opens Region play on Friday morning in Devil's Lake, North Dakota with an opening game against Lake Region State College at 10 AM.  They will also play later in the day depending on the result in the double elimination tournament.
