DCB Hockey Splits on the Road at Gustavus Adolphus JV

Bottineau played at Gustavus JV in a two game non-conference set this past weekend. On Saturday, the Jacks jumped out to a 3-1 lead in the first period. Kyler Moore (Firestone, CO) opened the scoring for DCB on a rebound in front. After GAC JV tied it up Zach Garrett (Creighton, SK) gave the Lumberjacks a lead and Kyle Peters (Killarney, MB) put the boys up 3-1. Gustavus scored 2 goals in less than a minute to tie the game up. After scoring twice in the second period and again in the third on a 5-3 Power Play the Gusties won 6-3.  Connor Slipp (Calgary, AB)took the Loss making 29 saves in forty minutes and Jay Pringle  (Boissavain, MB) allowed a goal in relief making 13 saves. On Sunday after a scoreless first period Kyler Moore again opened the scoring for the Jacks.  Later in the period Josh Colleaux (Minot, ND) scored a power play goal which would be the game winner. Gustavus scored in the third to make it interesting but Jay Pringle shut the door and the Jacks hung on for a victory.
