 Corey Gorder started working at Dakota College in 2012 working with the men’s hockey team and continues in this role as the assistant coach. He was fortunate to be a part of the national championship seasons of 2016 & 2017 when we were a part of the NJCAA as well as the transition period over to the ACHA and earning their way to several national tournament appearances. Gorder is active in the community youth hockey program as well as serves as the assistant coach for the United States men’s sled hockey team since the summer of 2018.

Corey has a master’s degree in clinical psychology and holds an independent license as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of North Dakota. He also serves as the college’s athletic director as well as their mental health counselor.

Corey lives in the turtle mountains near Bottineau with his wife, Mary, and their four children.
