Jacks Fall in Regular Season Finale

The Lumberjack Volleyball team dropped their regular season finale Wednesday night on the road to the Williston State Tetons 3-0.

The Jacks got off to a strong start in set one taking an early 9-5 lead. This would lead to a Teton timeout. Out of the timeout WSC tried cutting into the DCB lead. The Tetons tied the game at 14-14 and then took the lead on the next volley. This led to a DCB timeout to try and break the Teton's momentum. Out of the Jacks timeout they would tie the game up. After that, however, it was all WSC as they went on to win the set 25-20.

Set two was tightly contested with neither team able to manage more than a two-point lead in the early going. With the score tied at 10-10 the Tetons would use their first timeout of the set. Out of the timeout WSC college would slowly build a lead and go on to win set two 25-18.

Just like in set two neither team could get more than a two-point lead in the early going. With the score tied 11-11 the Tetons would use a timeout. Coming out of the timeout WSC went on a 5-1 run to take a 16-12 lead. With the Tetons leading 17-13, the Jacks would use their first timeout of the set. Out of the timeout the Jacks made a late rally with a 7-3 run and cutting the Teton's lead to two at 23-21. WSC used their final timeout hoping to finish off the set and the match. Coming out of the timeout the Jacks put themselves in position to come from behind and steal the set. It was not to be however as WSC would win the set and the match in extra points 28-26.
