The Lumberjack Women's Basketball team controlled the tempo of the game from start to finish Wednesday night enroute to a 77-50 victory over Trinity Bible College.
The Jacks got it done on the defensive side of the floor in the opening stanza forcing 7 Lion turnovers and limiting them to just 8 total shots. After one period the Jacks led by a score of 19-10. Serinity Soland paced the Jacks with 7 total points. The Jacks really broke things open in the second quarter shooting 55% from the field. Enroute to a 26-10 quarter to take a 45-20 lead into halftime. Jasmine Undlin and Karrington Eugene each had 6 points in the quarter to lead DCB.
The Jacks ran into some turnover issues in the third quarter, committing 11 of them. Despite this their lead remained at 25 points entering the fourth quarter of play at 63-38. The Jacks cut down on the turnovers committing just three and cruising to a 77-50 win in the process.
Amari Butler led all scorers and three Lumberjacks in double figures with 15 points, Soland finished with 14 and Eugene added 12 off the bench. Jaelle Fischer led TBC with 13 points.
The Jacks improve to 10-11 overall and return to Mon-Dak play where they sit 2-5 Monday on the road vs Williston State College.
