Balanced Attack Push Wildcats Past Ladyjacks

In their home opener the DCB Ladyjacks fell to the Wildcats of NDSCS by a score of 87-66. All five of the Wildcat starters reached double figures in the game.

Arianna Berryhill got the Wildcats going in the first quarter hitting three 3's. The Ladyjacks tried to counter with Jacie Hall who scored seven in the quarter to pace DCB. After one quarter NDSCS led 29-13. The Ladyjacks closed the gap a bit in the second quarter thanks to Koylynn Gulliford off the bench with seven points in the quarter. Gulliford finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds. At the half the Ladyjacks were able to cut the deficit to twelve at 49-37. The second half saw the Wildcats defense create havoc. DCB turned the ball over 20 times in the contest leading to quick points for NDSCS. In the third quarter NDSCS out scored DCB 23-15. Guilford tried get a spark for the Ladyjacks in the fourth quarter, but the deficit was to much as the Wildcats would win 87-66.

Grace Massaquoi led the Wildcats with 18 points. Jacie Hall led DCB and all scorers with 21 points. With the loss the Ladyjacks fall to 1-4 overall and 0-4 in the conference. The Ladyjacks have a quick turn around hosting the University of Jamestown JV in "The Woodshed" with gametime set for 5:30p.m.
