Coach Roberts had this to say about the upcoming season. "I'm very excited to get the season started, we have been in the gym for 2 months training, lifting, and conditioning in preparation. Having a roster of only 7 players we were forced to scrimmage against male students to go up and down in practice to simulate game situations. This season we will get the ball up quickly and look for easy scoring opportunities, offensively every player is a scoring threat and defensively we want to apply a lot of pressure and force turnovers. As we turn into the new era of DCB Women's Basketball we want to provide a solid and exciting style of basketball that will keep our fans packing "The Woodshed.""
