The Ladyjacks Grab Lead In Fifth Inning For Victory Over Itasca Community College

The Ladyjacks took the lead late in the game in a 12-7 victory over Itasca Community College on Saturday. The Ladyjacks were down 6-5 in the bottom of the fifth inning when Tascha Livingstone homered off of Itasca's pitcher, driving in two runs.

Rayla Marema led the Ladyjacks to victory by driving in five runs. She went 3-for-4 at the plate. Marema drove in runs on a home run in the third and a triple in the sixth.

Itasca Community College took an early lead in the second inning.

The Ladyjacks scored five runs in the sixth inning. The Ladyjacks scored on a triple by Marema, a single by Tascha Livingstone, and a home run by Lauren Mach.

Livingstone earned the win for the Ladyjacks . She pitched five and a third innings, surrendering one run, five hits, striking out four, and walking zero.

Home runs for the Ladyjacks came when Tascha Livingstone homered in the second and fifth innings, Rayla Marema homered in the third inning, and Lauren Mach homered in the sixth inning.
