Jacks Can't Overcome Pioneer Offensive Attack

 The Lumberjack Men's Basketball team ran into a buzzsaw Sunday afternoon in the form of the Miles Community College Pioneers falling by a final score of 105-75.

The Jacks shot 50% from the field and knocked down seven three pointers in the first half. Edward Lual led the Jacks with 12 points in the first half. However, the Jacks found themselves down 58-45 at the halftime break. The Pioneers shot 64% from the field and hit 10 three pointers in the first half shooting 77% from beyond the arc.

The Jacks continued to weather the offensive attack of the Pioneers and would keep the the deficit between 12-15 points early in the second half. With 15 minutes to go the Jacks had gotten the MCC lead down to 11 at 71-60, but corner three would put MCC back up by 14. Over the last 15 minutes DCB would be outscored by a margin of 31-15. The Pioneers took the game 105-75.

Lual was the only Jack in double figures and led all scorers with 29 points. Yohandry Ortiz led Miles with 23 points.

DCB falls to 16-13 overall and 3-10 inside the Mon-Dak. The Jacks host Dawson Community College tonight to close out the regular season. DCB will honor their sophomores prior to the tonight's game.
