Jacks Can't Overcome High Powered Bucs Offense

The Lumberjack Men's Basketball team fell to Dawson Community College who received votes in the latest poll put out by the NJCAA by a final score of 96-69 Sunday afternoon.

The Jacks hung with the Bucs in the early going, but the Jacks couldn't keep up with the high powered DCC offense. The Bucs scored 51 first half points and shot nearly 60% from the field whereas the Jacks scored 32 and shot 42% from the field.  The Jacks shot it better from the field in the second half shooting nearly 52% but were 0-6 from beyond the arc. The Bucs offense kept firing on all cylinders shooting almost 56% in the second half. In the end the final score was 96-69 in favor of DCC.

Jalen Blanchard led the Jacks with 19 points, Edward Lual joined him in double figures with 12 points off the bench. Justin Asi led the Bucs and all scorers with 22 points.

DCB falls to 14-9 overall and 1-5 inside the Mon-Dak. The Jacks travel to Miles Community College tonight to take on the Pioneers. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:30p.m.(CST).
