The Dakota College at Bottineau Baseball Team dropped all four of their games to Miles City to open Mon-Dak Conference play.
10-0 loss
The Jacks couldn't get their bats going in game one and didn't pick up a hit. Cade Buxton and Nicholas Jacobson each recorded a strikeout in relief appearances.
8-5 loss
The Jacks battled with the Pioneers in game two of the series before a four run fourth inning would put MCC in control for good. The Jacks offense was highlighted by a three RBI game from Dalton Vangorden. Dominic Holmstrup accounted for the other Jacks' RBI. Kayden Cey doubled and had a stolen base. Kaeden Wilcox picked up two stolen bases. Grady Davis got the start on the mound and had two strikeouts. Nolan Wright had strike out in an inning of relief and D"Angelo Bouctouche had three strikeouts in two innings of work.
10-9 loss in 8 Innings
Game three of the series saw the Pioneers rally to beat the Jacks 10-9 in extra innings. Wilcox tripled and had two Rbis. Tatum Packer also drove in two runs. McLeod Sell, Cey, Holmstrup and Vangorden each also knocked in a run. Ayden Lasson, Joe Plett, Holmstrup, and Wilcox all swiped a base. Carter Ralston got the star and stuck out two Pioneers. Lasson made an appearance on the mound in relief and had three strikeouts. Bryce Meyers also recorded a strikeout in one inning of work.
14-2 loss
DCBs bats struggled to get going in the series finale as Wilcox and Holmstrup had an RBI each for the Jacks. Wright notched one strike out in a relief appearance and Jacobson retired two Pioneers on strikes in two innings of work.
