Baseball Season Review

The Lumberjack Baseball team saw their season come to an end this past Saturday in the first round of the playoffs against Bismarck State finishing with a record of 19-29.

Statically the Jacks had a great year breaking a handful of records and coming just short on a few more. Sophomore Andrew Carreon had a breakout year leading the team in batting average hitting .400, hits with 58, RBIs with 55 which is just 3 short of the school record. Carreon also led the team in doubles with 16 just two short of the record. Brady Papineau led the team in triples with four tying Kody Lane's school record from the 2015-16 season. On the basepaths Adrian Oles led the team with 19 stolen bases, just one short of the school record.

On the mound Sutton Shurley led the team in wins with 5 coming just one win shy of tying the school record. Nate Huisken led the team in innings pitched with 46.1 and strikeouts with 47. William Broderius led the team in ERA with a 4.63 and broke the school saves record with four previously held by Ryan Moormeier and Nick Sumstine both from 2017-18.
