Jacks Swept by Cougars

The Lumberjack Women's Hockey team lost a pair of games to Assiniboine College this weekend by scores of 4-2 and 6-1.

4-2 loss

Cydny Price put the Jacks on the board late in the first period Rianne Shotclose had the assist. Jenesha Hammond extended the DCB lead to 2-0 with McKenna Walls and Danee Crepeele were credited with the assists.  The Cougars would cut the lead to 2-1 just before the halfway point of the second period. In the third period the Cougars scored three unanswered goals to take a 4-2 victory.

6-1 loss

Walls scored the opening goal of the contest to put the Jacks up, Hammond and Price assisted. Assiniboine tied the game with eight minutes remaining in the period. In the second the Cougars took control with four straight goals and would tack on one more in the third to sweep the weekend series 6-1.

The Jacks fall to 5-8-1-0 overall. DCB hosts the Cougars Wednesday at 7:00p.m.
