Woman's ACHA National Tournament Preview

Coming off a trip to the ACHA National Championship Game last season the Ladyjack Hockey Team is looking to finish one spot better and win the National Championship. The Ladyjacks enter Pool B as the number two seed out of the West Region. DCB enters the tournament with a 11-7-1-0 record and a -4 goal differential. Michelle Landsverk leads the team with 11 points, Jasper Devloo and Kindal DeGraeve are the next highest point getters with 9 and 8 points respectively. The Ladyjacks have used two primary goalies, Hannah Funk has a 3.20 goals against average anda .861 save percentage. Kara Zelyck has a 3.52 goals against average and aa .911 save percentage. DCB last loss on February 18th 7-1 to ACC.

Format

The National Tournament is set to feature 16 teams split into pools of four. Each pool winner will advance to the ACHA Final Four. The winner of Pool B will play the winner of Pool D.

  • Lost both games to common opponent Sault College 2-1 and 4-0

Niagara

  • 5 seed out of the Southeast
  • 14-3-2-0 record
  • +105 goal differential
  • Kaitlyn Diem leads team in scoring with 51 points ranks 3rd in ACHA
  • Maia MacLean with 47 points ranks 8th in ACHA Grace Miller with 35 points ranks 17th
  • Courtney Schum has been the main goalie allowing 2.19 goals per game and has a 9.33 save %
  • Last loss came on January 13th to Robert Morris 4-3
  • No common opponents
