Coming out of the timeout DCB would retake the lead at 24-22. DCC used their final timeout of the set hoping to find a way to stop the Jacks from taking the set. It was not to be as the Jacks would score the next point and take set one25-22.

We saw more of the same in set two except this time it would be the Bucs that would hold a small lead for much of the set. With the score at 12-7 in favor of Dawson the Lumberjacks would use a timeout to regroup. DCB would cut into the lead multiple times throughout the set, but the Bucs would even the match at one set apiece with a score of 25-18.

Set three was also very tightly contested. A 4-1 run by the Lumberjacks would give them a 9-8 lead and force the Bucs to take a timeout. After this the lead changed hands multiple times with DCC leading 20-19 DCB used their first timeout of the set. Out of the timeout DCB used a 2-0 run to take the lead for good in the set going on to win it 25-22. Taking a 2-1 advantage.

The Jacks jumped out to a lead in set three. A 3-0 Dawson run cut the DCB lead to three at 14-11. DCB used their first timeout of the set. Out of the timeout continued their run when all was set and done it was a 10-0 DCC run to give them a 18-14 lead. The Jacks were able to get it back within in two at 20-18. DCC used a timeout to try and slow the Jacks' momentum. Out of the timeout DCC would go on a 5-2 run to finish the set and win it 25-20 forcing a deciding 5th set.

DCB got things going in set five with a 3-0 run to start things off. The Bucs took a quick timeout. Out of the timeout Dawson answered with a 4-0 run of their own. After that neither team was able to take control of the set. With the Lumberjacks leading 12-10 DCC would use their final timeout of the set. DCB had a match point opportunity with the score 14-12. DCC denied the Jacks the victory on that volley and the Jacks would take a timeout. In the end it would be DCC getting the win 17-15 to win the match 3-2.

With the loss DCB falls to 0-19 overall and 0-11 in the Mon-Dak. Next up the Jacks head north of the border to take on ACC in a non-conference game. Match time is set for 7:00p.m. Stay tuned to DCB Athletics social media pages for possible ways to watch.
