Tetons Sweep Jacks

Tetons Sweep Jacks

The Lumberjack Volleyball team fell in straight sets Tuesday night to Mon-Dak Conference foe Williston State College.

In the early going of set one momentum swung back and forth as neither team was able to garner more than a one or two point advantage. With the game tied 11-11 the Tetons would go on a 4-0 run to make the score 15-11 and force a DCB timeout. Out of the timeout WSC was able to keep their momentum rolling, winning the set 25-16.

The Tetons were able to keep things rolling in set two with an 8-1 run to start the set. The Jacks would attempt to fire back  getting as close as 17-10 and force WSC to take a timeout, but the deficit proved to be to much as the Tetons took set two 25-13.

Set three saw the Tetons slowly build their lead over the Jacks. DCB was able to hang around until the lead got to six for the first time in the set at 18-12. The Jacks called a timeout and attempted to regroup. After the timeout the Tetons rattled off two more quick points to push their lead to 20-12 and DCB took their final timeout of the set. The Jacks were unable to close the gap and the Tetons would win the set and the match 25-16.

With the loss the Jacks drop to 0-9 overall and 0-6 in the Mon-Dak. Next up for DCB they will travel to Bismarck State on Wednesday for a match up with the Mystics. First serve is set for 7:00p.m.
