The DCB Ladyjacks Volleyball team picked up a road nonconference win Saturday, defeating the ACC Cougars 3-1.

In set one DCB jumped out to an early 10-5 lead. At the midway point of the set the Ladyjacks had stretched the lead to six at 13-7 forcing an ACC timeout. The timeout didn't slow down DCB the Ladyjacks pushed the lead to 18-10.  The Cougars didn't go away and began to chip away at the deficit. With DCB leading 22-17 ACC would go on an 8-0 run to end the set and win 25-22.

The Ladyjacks started quick again in set two opening a seven-point lead at 12-5. DCB was able to stay in control as the set progressed and led 19-13 as the set neared its conclusion forcing an ACC timeout. The timeout didn't slow the Ladyjack momentum as they went on to win the set 25-16.

Set three started out very competitive with no team able to take more than a two-point lead early on. At the midway point of the set the Cougars held a 13-12 lead.  A 5-0 DCB run to give them a 18-14 lead would force a Cougar timeout. The Ladyjacks kept things rolling out of the timeout and went on to win the set 25-18.

DCB gained control of set four from the get-go opening a 9-4 lead. ACC would rally back and tie the game at 13-13. The Cougars were able to take a 16-14 lead to force a Ladyjack timeout. Out of the timeout ACC scored two quick points to take their lead to 18-14.  The Ladyjacks responded with a 6-0 run to take a 20-18 lead to force an ACC timeout. The timeout didn't slow down DCB as they finished the set on an 11-0 run to win the set and the match 25-18.

With the win DCB moves to 5-4 overall. The Ladyjacks are back in action at "The Woodshed" Tuesday for another nonconference matchup with Dickinson State JV. Gametime is set for 6:00p.m.
