Volleyball Finalizes Roster Adding Arizona Middle Helen Salt

The DCB Ladyjacks Volleyball team have signed 5'9" Middle Helen Salt of Kayenta, Arizona.

Salt played her freshman to Junior years of high school volleyball at Piedra Vista High School in Farmington, New Mexico before moving to Monument Valley High School in Keyenta, Arizona.  She graduated in 2019 and attended Northern Arizona University but did not play volleyball.

"Helen gives us a middle that played in a very good high school conference.  She plays a little bigger then her size with good arm length and a good quick swing.  Rachel (Brown) decided not to come back for her sophomore year so we needed to add a middle that could come in and compete for a spot right away," stated Head Coach Mike Smith.

Salt was named a Navajo Times All-star her Senior year and plans to earn a Exercise Science degree.

Notes:  The NJCAA announced this week that volleyball will be able to start their training and games as scheduled.  DCB will begin practices August 3rd while their first regular season game will be at home August 26th against their rivals Lake Region State College.
