With the impending loss of all three of the DCB Ladyjacks back-court players it was imperative that volleyball Head Coach Mike Smith find and sign some high quality replacements.

In Jisela Chairez Smith believes he has done that.

Chairez is a 5'3" Libero from Union Colony Prep. in Greeley, Colorado.  Chairez was a Mile High League All-Conference Honorable mention in 2019. She broke her school's record for digs in a career with over 1200.

"Jisela came on a visit and you could tell very quickly she was a high quality player.  She is a good passer and has a good serve.  We are expecting her to play a lot of minutes as a freshman in the back row", stated Smith.

Chairez is the 6th 2020 recruit to sign with the Ladyjacks this winter.  She joins Amy Lewis and Brielle Webb of Manitoba, Canada, Chante Moore of Barbados and  Bailey Hufschmidt and DeeJanae Buggs of Texas.

Smith is expected to sign a few more in the coming weeks.

Note:  The Ladyjacks are beginning spring season and will play scrimmages February 24th in Brandon and March 7th at Devil's Lake.  A home scrimmage should be announced shortly.
