Samantha Harris has signed a Letter of Intent to play volleyball next season for the DCB Ladyjacks.  Harris finished her 5A season at the New Mexico State Tournament where her school, Piedra Vista High School, went in ranked 6th after a 16-5 season.  Harris finished her Senior year with 695 assists (4th in New Mexico 5A), 9.3 Assists per Set (3rd), 40 Aces, 113 digs and an amazing 64 blocks, a huge number for a setter.

"Part of the appeal of Samantha is that she has played in a 5-1 system at both the club and high school level.  She is not big at 5'8" but she plays big for a setter.  She certainly was at the top of my recruit list and we are very happy she has chosen DCB over several other schools", explained Coach Mike Smith.  "She is one of the top setters in New Mexico, a state that produces high quality volleyball players", added Smith.  Harris toured the school on Monday and signed her LOI later that day.

Harris joins 2019 recruits Masaya Archbold of Ramstein, Germany and Angel Richards of Stevensville, Montana as the newest Ladyjacks.  Smith expects to add 2-3 more recruits to the current roster.

The Ladyjacks had 11 freshman on their roster this past season.
