The DCB Ladyjacks volleyball team just got a little bit more international, sort of!  Masaya Archbold of Ramstein Germany will be joining the Ladyjacks next season.  Her father, a member of the US military, has been stationed there for three years.  Archbold is a 5'9" middle that can also play the right side and attends Ramstein High School.

Archbold started playing volleyball in sixth grade in her hometown of Raeford, North Carolina.  She is currently finishing her high school season and has played club volleyball in both Germany and the US.

"She is a big jumper and is very athletic.  We are very excited to add her and I know she will fit in well with her teammates", added Head Coach Mike Smith.  Smith has gotten to know her well in a short period of time.  "I have had many conversations with her and she seems like such a great kid.  She is planning to be a nurse and then join the military.  I think we are a perfect fit for her both academically and athletically."

"I'm really excited to see where the season takes us.  I can't wait to meet the coaches and the girls," stated Archbold.

" She will help us right away.  She will give us a bit more jumping ability and I can't stress how important it is to bring in players that will gel with the freshman we will have coming back next year.  We have a great group of players here and I know she will fit in well," said Smith.
