Volleyball falls 3-0 to Dakota Tech

The DCB Ladyjacks volleyball team fell 3-0 to Dakota County Technical College by scores of 25-17, 25-18 and 25-18.  The games were close but the team seemed to lack energy.  "We are a better team then we showed today.  Sometimes you lose games that you are matched in.  I don't think we played that well today. definitely a lack of energy.  I didn't prepare them well.  We all need to be better.  We will get back to work Monday and Tuesday to prepare for a huge conference game on Wednesday.  I guarantee we will have more energy Wednesday night in front of our home fans!"

The Lady jacks were lead offensively by setter Abbey Franklin who picked up 13 assists to help 7 different DCB hitters pick up kills.  Michelle Krahn had 5 followed by Lexi Gullett with 4.  Amy Stolz continued to be a force at the net picking up 1.5 blocks. She also thwarted several attempted kills by DCTC's powerful hitters.  The trio of Stolz, Rebecca Helmeczi and Lexi Gullett have picked up the majority of minutes in the middle.  They have improved the Ladyjacks block immensely since the start of the year.

The team will play at home on Wednesday September 26th after 8 straight matches on the road.  They host Williston State College in an important MONDAK conference match-up.  Game time at the Woodshed is 7:00pm!
