Ladyjacks Look to Bounce Back After NDSCS Loss

Bottineau, ND - Dakota College at Bottineau hosted North Dakota State College of Science on Thursday, October 12th. The Ladyjacks got beat in 4-sets to the Lady Wildcats (23-25, 25-18, 25-16, and 25-14). 

DCB's volleyball team took the first set over NDSCS winning 25-23. After the first set, it was all North Dakota State College of Science by winning the last three sets by large margins. There were some positives for the Ladyjacks, Victoria Obergfell led the way in kills with 14. Quinn Billaney added 10 kills on 13 swings. Abbey Franklin assisted those two among others tallying a total of 19. 

The Ladyjacks are in action again over the weekend at Lake Region's Slamfest Tournament. They will play 4 games in 2 days in Devil's Lake, ND. On saturday, October 14th, DCB will play at 11:00 AM and 2:30 PM. The first game of the day is against Assiniboine Community College. DCB will look to get some revenge after being beat by ACC twice last weekend. At 2:30 PM, the Ladyjacks will compete against Providence College. On Sunday, October 15th, the Ladyjacks play at 12:45 PM and 2:30 PM. The first game will be against Oak Hills Christian College. DCB beat OHCC earlier in the week in 3 sets. At 2:30 PM, DCB will play Central Lakes College - Brainerd.

The Ladyjacks look to improve over the weekend and come away with some W's. Coach Scherr is looking forward to the weekend playing a lot of games and the girls getting a lot of repetitions.
