The Lumberjack women's basketball team couldn't overcome a 29% shooting performance from the field and fell to Lake Region State College 77-57.

Both teams struggled to get the offense going in the opening five minutes. With the score tied at 6-6 it would be the Royals that got the offense going as in the final five minutes of the quarter they outscored the Jacks 13-4 to take a 19-10 lead after 10 minutes of play. LRSC stretched their lead to 15 33-18 late in the second quarter. This is when the lumberjack offense would get in a grove going on a 12-5 run to end the quarter to cut the Royals lead to 38-30 at halftime. Kiara Comeaux had 8 points in the quarter to propel the run.

Coming out of halftime the Jacks offense struggled to get going, scoring just two points over the first six minutes of the quarter. Amari Butler was able to take the lid off the basket with a 3-pointer just as the shot clock was expiring. However, the Jacks found themselves in a big hole after the slow start to the half and trailed 61-42 after three quarters. In the fourth quarter the Jacks would play almost even with the Royals but were unable to carve into the deficit falling 77-57.
