Ladyjacks Fall on Sophomore Night

The Ladyjack Basketball team dropped their final home game of the season to RV NDSCS 60-38 Monday night.

The Ladyjack offense struggled to get going Monday night as the Wildcats jumped out to a 18-0 lead. The lid finally came off the bucket with 1:40 to play in the first quarter or DCB when Jacie Hall got her shot in the lane to fall. Alyssa St Pierre got her top of the key three to fall, and after one quarter NDSCS led 20-5. After allowing the Wildcats to shoot 60% from the field in the first the quarter the Ladyjack offense held NDSCS to below 28% shooting the rest of the game. While the defense did their job the DCB offense still struggled shooting just 17% from the field. At halftime NDSCS led 36-14.

Hall had a big third quarter with seven points, but DCB still shot just 19% from the field after three quarters the Wildcats led 50-23. The Ladyjack offense found their grove in the fourth quarter shooting 42% from the field and outscored NDSCS 15-10. The Wildcats won by a final score of 60-38. NDSCS shot just 33% from the field for the game and DCB shot 21%.

Jacie Hall led all scorers with 17 points and 10 rebounds. She was joined in double figures by Alyssa St Pierre with 11 points.

With the loss DCB falls to 6-22 overall and 0-19 in the Mon-Dak. Next up the Ladyjacks are scheduled to play at United Tribes Thursday with game time set for 5:30p.m.
