Rough Third Quater Sink Ladyjacks

The Ladyjack Basketball team played right with the Dawson Community College Bucs. However, a 26-11 third quarter would be the difference as DCC would win 71-52.

In the first quarter the two teams went back and forth early a pair of 3-pointers by Alyssa St Pierre put the Ladyjacks out front 8-7. DCC went on a 11-4 run to take a 18-12 lead at the end of the first quarter. St Pierre stayed hot in the second quarter with 8 points. As a team the Ladyjacks shot 54% from the field. DCB outscored DCC 17-15 in the quarter to cut the deficit to four at 33-29.

The Bucs offense got rolling in the third quarter. DCC knocked down four threes in the quarter and shot 59% from the field in the quarter whereas DCB shot just 31% from the quarter. The Bucs outscored the Ladyjacks 26-11. DCB didn't go away quietly as they opened the fourth quarter on a 10-2 run to cut the lead to 11 at 61-50. However, the shorthanded Ladyjacks would run out of gas as DCC would finish the game on a 10-2 run of their own to win the game by a final score of 71-52.

 Alyssa St Pierre led all scorers with 25 points. Jacie Hall joined her in double-figures with 14 points.

With the loss DCB falls to 6-21 overall and 0-18 in the Mon-Dak. Next up the Ladyjacks host RV NDSCS on sophomore night on Monday. Tip off scheduled for 5:30p.m.
