The Ladyjacks struggled to score in the first quarter and could never recover falling in the first round of the Mon-Dak Conference Tip-off Tournament 77-44 to Dawson Community College.

The Bucs started the game on a 13-0 run before Koylynn Gulliford got the Ladyjacks on the board with a free throw. The Ladyjacks were able to get a stop and Sabra Peterson responded with a 3-pointer to cut the gap to single digits. That's as close as DCB would be able to get it as they were hampered by turnovers and a poor shooting night. DCB was only able to shoot 27% from the field and committed 29 turnovers.

Jacie Hall and Alyssa St Pierre led the Ladyjacks with 13 points apiece. St Pierre also added in eight rebounds, four assists, and six steals. With the loss DCB falls to 1-1 overall and 0-1 in the Mon-Dak. They are back in action in the conciliation bracket taking on Williston State at 1:45p.m. in New Town.
