DCB went over to Belcourt on Wednesday night and defeated Turtle Mountain CC 90-68.

The Mikinocks got off to a early lead behind some good shooting but a quick six point run just before half put DCB up by eight at the break.  In the 2nd half, DCB outscored TMCC by 3 in the 3rd quarter and 11 in the final period to pull away.  Abby Simons had her best game as a Ladyjacks scoring 26 points on only 15 field goal attempts and adding 8 rebounds.  Shadlynn Severance really lifted the team off the bench with 15 points.  Sydnie Nelson had a great floor game with 5 assists, 0 turnovers, and 5 steals.  Trinity Goggles was big on the boards with 10 rebounds as DCB had many players making contributions to a good team win.

From Coach Johnson: " I thought our depth wore them down in the final quarter and made the margin bigger than the competitiveness of the game.  The major reason for the difference was our ability to take care of the basketball (only 5 turnovers).  We had a lot of players making contributions to a good team win."

DCB is back on the road this weekend to face a couple of really tough opponents in Gillette College (WY) and Iowa Western CC at the Sleep Inn Shootout in Devils Lake, ND Saturday and Sunday.  Game time for both days is 10:00 a.m.
