The DCB Ladyjacks basketball team has added some scoring to their line-up with the addition of Wyoming guard Martina Brown from St. Stevens Indian School in St. Stevens, Wyoming.
Brown averaged 15.2 points per game, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. She shot 50% from the field including 42% from beyond the three point arc. She was an impressive 76% from the free throw line.
She was a member of the All-Conference team as well as being the only St. Stevens player selected to the Wyoming All-State Basketball Team.
Coach Johnson had this to say about Brown. "We are excited to welcome Martina to the Ladyjacks program. We believe she will be a valuable addition. She has the ability to score the basketball and is especially proficient from beyond the three point line. We value that shot within our system and she should be a great fit. Martina also has the ability to get to the basket and create for her teammates. She is a solid citizen and a very good student. Martina appears to be exactly what we look for in our Ladyjacks student/athletes."
