DCB Women's basketball has added two more players to their roster for the 2019-20 season, both hail form right here in North Dakota.
The team signed Dunseith Senior Lexius Davis and Parshall Grad Shalynn Severance.
Davis is a 5'7" guard that averaged 11.8 points per game to go with 3.6 RPG. She shot 40% from 3 pt. range and was named to the All-District 8 team this past season. Coach Wayne Johnson describes her as someone "that has the ability to shoot the 3 point shot at such a good percentage, something that is a big part of our offensive team philosophy. We also feel she has athletic ability and quickness and can develop into a solid defender in our system."
Severance is a 5'5" guard/forward that averaged 10 points and 10 rebounds per game for the Parshall Braves. She was named to the All Region 8 Tournament team in 2016 and 17, the All-District 15 team 2018 and 19 and the All-District 15 Tournament team in 2018. "We believe Shadlynn gives us a strong competitor who will give us depth at both the guard and forward position. She plays a lot bigger then her size and will be a solid player in all areas of the game," Stated Johnson.
