Being a Division II team playing in a Division I conference has it's challenges.  Hosting the NJCAA's Division I # 19 team in the country last night, was certainly a daunting task.

The DCB Ladyjacks stayed respectable until a fourth quarter that saw Miles Community College hit, it seemed like, every shot on their way to a 103-47 victory.  It was Miles' 26th consecutive win on what has been an undefeated season so far.  They are one of only two teams in the country that are still undefeated at the division I level.  They were an incredible 23 of 37 shooting from beyond the arc.

The Jacks played hard and did several things well according to coach Wayne Johnson. "We battled hard against their pressure defense and actually did a better job of handling the heat then we had in our two previous games with them."

Victoria Obergfell was the top scorer with 14 while Abbey Iverson was the top rebounder with 6.  Sydnie Nelson had a team leading 4 assists and 4 steals.

The Ladyjacks have three games left and will need a win in at least one of them to give them hope of hosting their Division II playoff game against United Tribes.  The two teams split their games this season and whoever finishes highest in the MonDak standings will get the right to host.
