 Women's Basketball Announcement:

Abby Simons (Berthold, ND)

Abby Simons has signed a letter of intent to play basketball for the Dakota College at Bottineau Ladyjacks during the 2019-20 school year.

Abby is a 5'8 guard who played her high school basketball for the Lewis & Clark--Berthold Bombers.  As a high school senior she is averaging 22.6 points and 10 rebounds per game.  Abby is shooting 70% from the free throw line, while averaging 2 assists and 2 steals per game. She is a three time All District 12 and two time All Region 6 team selection.  Abby joined the 1,000 point scoring club in her junior year.

Coaches Comments: "We are very happy to welcome Abby to the Ladyjacks.  We believe she has the skills to be a solid performer on both ends of the court.  She has the ability to attack the basket and the shooting range to really help our motion offense.  We also think she brings a skill set that will help make her teammates better.  Defensively we feel she has the quickness and athletic ability to be able to guard her girl.  Abby also rebounds the ball well from a guard position.  We really believe Abby will be a great addition to the Ladyjacks team and important part of what we get done in 2019-20."

Morgan Reiser (Turtle Lake, ND)

Morgan is a 5'8 guard who played her high school basketball for the Turtle Lake/Mercer/McClusky Trojans.  As a high school senior she is averaging 15.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.2 steals per game.  Morgan is a two time All District 10 Tournament selection.  She is also an outstanding academic student and has been on the Academic Region V team for four years.

Coaches Comments:  "We are happy to welcome Morgan to the Ladyjack family.  We value the student/athlete who can perform on the court and in the classroom.  She certainly appears to be a good fit in both areas. Morgan is a very good perimeter shooter, particularly from behind the three point line.  That fits in well with our offensive philosophy and we look for her to make solid contributions."
