A 19 point half time deficit was too much to overcome as the DCB Ladyjacks (8-8) dropped a 84-66 decision to Division I Lake Region State College (13-5) last night at the Woodshed.  The team committed too many turnovers leading to not enough field goal attempts against a strong Lake Region team.  The first half saw Lake Region attempt 48 shots to the Ladyjacks 35.  DCB picked up the attack in the second half and actually outscored their opponents 42-41 but it wasn't enough.

Leading scorer Vic Obergfell lead all players with 26 points while adding 8 rebounds.  Kinze Martinson had 9 points off the bench while Maddie Uhlenkamp added 8.  Abby Iverson added 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Taylor Keplin picked up a season high 3 blocks.

The Ladyjacks will be in action on Monday January 14th as they host the Bismarck State Mystics at 5:30pm.  The Mystics are 11-3 but lost their opening MonDak game 73-57 to Miles City.
