The DCB Ladyjacks basketball team cruised to a an 83-35 win Tuesday in Ellendale against Trinity Bible College.  For a summary of the game lets check out Coach Johnson's notes:

This was a good game for us to get back on track.  We played pretty well with the exception of our three point and free throw shooting.  We were below our season average in both areas. In spite of that our effective field goal % was a solid 49%.  I thought we got better defensively, especially in the second half.  We took advantage of having a size differential for a change and had an outstanding, season high, 91% defensive rebounding rating.  This was a good team effort and it's great to see our guards making this a five player effort with some nice rebound totals.  This good team defensive effort was led with a solid game by Breanna with her 5 steals, a blocked shot, and some defensive intimidation around the hoop.  Offensively we had some good OER's from a number of players.  Kinze had an excellent game scoring 12 points on 6 attempts, Vic 20 on 17 attempts, Ellie 17 on 14 attempts, and Bre 8 on 7 attempts. Our floor game leaders were Jazz with an assist to turnover ratio of 3 to 0, Abby 3 to 1, and Taylor 2 to 1.  It was nice to get off to a good start and be in control of a game, allowing us to work on a number of things.  We get back in action with two games at the Woodshed next week.  We play Turtle Mountain Community College on Thursday, Nov 29, game time is 6:00pm and then our alumni on Saturday Dec. 1 at 2:00pm.  We are looking forward to finally getting a chance to play at home and hoping for a good fan turnout.
