The DCB Ladyjacks basketball team actually lead by 1 in the third quarter of their game Friday against BSC but eventually could not sustain that effort falling 78-58 to the Mystics.

44 turnovers and a lack of consistent rebounding, especially on the offensive glass, were the main deficiencies.  The fact that they were leading shows that they are capable of playing with the Mystics and will work to fix the turnovers.  On the positive side the Ladyjacks shot the ball well going 48% from the field and a healthy 46% from three point range.

Madison Uhlenkamp and Abby Iverson each had 16 points to lead the team offensively.  Ellie Messmer was the leading rebounder with 6 while Iverson and Breanna Thompson each added 5.

The LJs hit the floor Saturday at 3:00pm in New Town as they will face the Williston State Tetons.
