Tough Weekend for Ladyjacks

Tough Weekend for Ladyjacks

The Ladyjacks dropped two games at the NDSCS Circle of Nations Classic in Wahpeton this weekend. Friday they were defeated 59-43 by the Jamestown JV. After a tough first quarter, when the Jacks only scored 5 points, they battled back to within 2 points in the 3rd quarter but a run by the Jimmies late in the game resulted in the final score. Leading the Ladyjacks was Madie Erickson with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Quinn Billaney chipped in with 9 points and Dior Dioum led the team with 9 assists.

Saturday, the Ladyjacks played nationally ranked NIACC and found out why the Trojans are so potent. The Ladyjacks had trouble vs. their athletic ability and length. The Trojans turned the Jacks over too often and knocked in 26 three point attempts in their win. Leading the Ladyjacks again was Madie Erickson with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Kennedy Sondrol and Dior Dioum each contribed 9 points while Quinn Billaney notched 8 points. Leading the Jacks in assists were Dior Dioum and Kelsey Bowers with 3 each. The Ladyjacks now take an extended Christmas break returning to action on January 5th and 6th when they travel to Thief River Falls for the Northland CTC Tournament.
