Ladyjacks Fall to TMCC

Ladyjacks Fall to TMCC

The basketball Ladyjacks stumbled in their first road game of the season when they traveled to TMCC on Tuesday. The Ladyjacks dropped the contest by a score of 70-59. A very poor first half put our ladies behind 41-19. Poor shooting, failure to take care of the basketball, and some let downs in transition defense were responsible for the early deficit. To the Ladyjacks credit they battled back and had the TMCC lead reduced to nine points late in the 3rd quarter. That would be as close as they would get while suffering their first loss of the season. Leading the Ladyjacks in scoring were Vic Obergfell with 29, Kelsey Bowers with 9, and Ellie Messmer also with 9 points. Ellie led the Jacks in rebounding with eight while Dior Dioum dished out seven assists.

The next action for the Ladyjacks will be Friday and Saturday when they travel to Devils Lake for the Sleep Inn Classic. Their opponent on Friday will be Northland Tech with game time scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday's contest will be against Miles CC at 11:00 a.m.
