Softball Season Review

The Lumberjack softball team wrapped up the 2023-24 season Tuesday afternoon. The Jacks played most of their season as a club which did not allow their stats to count towards NJCAA numbers. We wanted to share some of the team's stat leaders from the season.

Sophomore Lexie Nelson led the team in batting average with hitting .438 and home runs with 7 which is just two shy of the school record. Nelson missed nine games with an injury. Freshman Madison Kurzenberger led the team in RBI's with 22. Fellow freshman Darcie Rae and Emma Rybchinski led the team in triples and doubles with 3 and 6 respectively. Sophomore Kindal DeGraeve led the team on the basepaths with 11 stolen bases. In the circle sophomore Hannah Funk led the team with 78 innings pitched and 42 strikeouts. Fellow sophomore Isabelle Mercier pitched 50.1 innings and tallied 26 strikeouts. DCB Athletics would like to thank sophomores Lexie, Kindal, Isabelle, and Hannah for their dedication and contributions to the softball program and DCB as a whole.
