Savannah Fabro had a great 2019 season.  She lead the team with 44 RBI and added a .380 batting average with a .922 OBP+SLG %.  In six 2020 spring games she hit .471 with 10 RBI.  

These numbers and a solid glove at third base have lead to her signing a NAIA Letter of Intent with Xavier University of Louisiana.  She will have three years of eligibility remaining after all spring athletes were given an extra year in the NJCAA, NCAA or NAIA.  

"I expected Savannah to have a big year this spring.  She has a knack for hititng in the clutch.  It seemed anytime there was a runner at third base with her at the plate she would come through with a hit, thus the huge RBI numbers.  She can just flat out hit and shes a solid 3B with a great arm.  I expect she will be a major contributor for XULA right away. It is expected that XULA will sign another DCB player or two very soon.  "With a new NAIA program Coach Ballard has been very interested with some of our kids as they give her players that have already lived the life of a college player for two years.  There could ba a few more Ladyjacks on their way to new orleans very soon," added Smith.
