The DCB Ladyajcks have signed their fist recruit of the 2020-21 season.  Jennah Lematta is a Senior at Fessenden-Bowden High School.  She becomes the second North Dakota resident to join the Ladyjacks as current Mandan graduate Lauren Gangl joined the team this season and is currently toiling for the DCB basketball team.

Lematta considered a few schools but ultimately decided on last year's top North Dakota Junior college softball team, DCB.  DCB is coming off their first trip to the NJCAA Division III National Tournament and much of that team has returned for the 2020 season.

Lematta impressed Head Coach Mike Smith during a workout in October.  "She can catch and play the corners but what impressed me most was she has a lot of potential as a strong hitter. She has a good quick swing and is athletic.  It's great to add another local North Dakota kid and we are excited to have her here in Bottineau next fall," stated Smith.

Lematta has been a team captain her sophomore and junior year and was last year's Team MVP.  She is expected to be a key contributor to Fessenden-Bowden's team in 2020.

She is expected to give the team depth at catcher and battle for a spot in the Ladyjacks infield.
