DCB pitcher Kassidy Cunningham has added to her award haul after being named an NJCAA Division III 2nd team All-American this week.  Cunningham earlier had been named a MonDak All-conference player and the Region 13B MVP in leading the Ladjacks to a best ever 28 wins and a trip to the 2019 NJCAA Division III National Championships.

Cunningham finished with a 17-6 record with 2 saves.  She had an NJCAA Division III leading 186 strikeouts in just 148 innings.  She was dominant at the plate as well as the Ladyjacks primary lead-off hitter.  She hit a team best .405 with 9 doubles, 3 triples and 11 stolen bases in 44 games.

No DCB softball player had ever been recognized as an All-American and Cunningham is the only freshman pitcher named to the 5 player 1st and 2nd team All-American pitchers that received recognition for the NJCAA.

This was the first time DCB had ever qualified for the National Tournament where they finished 6th with a 1-3 record.

The team graduates just two players and with an impressive group of recruits coming for 2020 the team will look to return to the tournament next May.
