Three Ladyjacks Named to MonDak All-Conference Team

After a 22-11 season three Ladyjacks softball players have been named to the MonDak All-Conference team.  Freshman SS Michelle Krahn of Pilot Mound, Manitoba Canada, Freshman Pitcher Kassidy Cunningham of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba Canada and freshman CF Stephany Ahmed of Henderson, Nevada were all named 2019 selections.

Krahn lead the team in hitting with a .414 batting average and a .510 OBP, both tops on the team.  Cunningham was close behind with a .411 Bave and a .500 OBP.  She also leads the entire NJCAA Division III in strikeouts with 141 in just 106 innings pitched.  She is 13-4 on the season with a save and a 2.25 ERA.  Ahmed batted .340 with a .405 OBP and stole 11 bases.  She is one of the top defensive outfielders in the MonDak conference. 

The Ladyjacks are busy preparing for this weekend's playoff match-up with NDSCS.  The winner of the best of three sub-regional will advance to the Region 13 North playoff May 16-18 at a yet to be determined location in Northern, Minnesota.  

The Ladyjacks are 3-1 versus NDSCS this season losing the opener in their first game of the season Feb. 1st at the Minot Bubble and then winning three at home in April.  

Games will be played at Tommy Turtle Park Friday May 10 at 2:00 and 4:00pm with the third game necessary Sunday.  Time TBA.
