Randee Charlo is starting to peak at just the right time.  The freshman Ladyjacks pitcher struck out 29 batters this past weekend in two games covering 14 innings.  For this she has been awarded the MonDak Player of the Week and the NJCAA Pitcher of the Week.  

This follows her teammate, and fellow pitcher, Kassidy Cunningham's win a few weeks ago of the same awards. 

Charlo, from St. Ignatius, Montana, redshirted last season and has been getting stronger as each week passes.  Her 9.71 strikeouts per 7 innings pitched leads the Nation, just ahead of Cunningham.  

She also batted 5 for 8 during last weekend's 4 games.  

The Ladyjacks went 3-1 this past weekend, dropping the opening game to Williston State College (Div. II) by a score of 6-3 and then beating the Tetons 12-4.  On Sunday DCB battled hard in a pair of wins over lake Region State College (Div. II) by scores of 9-6 and 3-2.  

The team will host the Region XIII Sub-Regional on Friday May 10th against NDSCS.  They are 3-1 against NDSCS on the season.  Game times will be 2:00pm and 4:00pm at Tommy Turtle Park.  

If there is a third game needed it will be played the next day (Saturday May 11).  The winner of the best of three series will move onto the Region XIII North Regional at the Home of the highest rated Minnesota school
