The DCB Ladyjacks softball team ran their winning streak to eight games after a double-header sweep of Williston State College in Williston on Saturday.

The Ladyjacks sit at 11-4 on the season after 16-7 and 9-0 run rule wins over the Tetons.  This followed 6 wins earlier in the week at the Minnesota Classic.

Game 1:  The Tetons scored first in the bottom of the 1st to go up 1-0 only to see the Ladyjacks score 7 in the top of the second.  The Tetons battled hard and scored 4 runs on star pitcher Kassidy Cunningham in the bottom of the third to cut the score to 7-5.  DCB recovered immediately scoring 4 in the top of the fourth to regain their 6 run lead.  The Tetons refused to give up scoring 2 in the bottom of the fifth only to have the Ladyjacks respond again in the top of the 6th.  The Ladyjacks would score 5 more in the inning finally putting the game out of reach.

Freshman CF Stephany Ahmed lead the Ladyjacks going 4 for 5 with a triple and 3 RBI.  Freshman catcher Claire Hiebert was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI.  Freshman pitcher Kassidy Cunningham picked up her 7th Win of the season going the distance in the circle.

Sunday's game Scheduled for Bottineau was postponed to a future date.  Tommy Turtle Park looks to be a few weeks away from use after a brutal winter of constant snow.
